Aquazzura and MyTheresa’s Glam Roman Dinner

On Thursday night, the Eternal City played host to an evening of Italian glamour, as the two fashion forces – Aquazzura and Mytheresa – celebrated their long-standing partnership in the most cinematic way possible—under the colonnades of a Roman temple at Cinecittà Studios, transformed into a dreamy dining experience.

Guests were treated to a preview of the new Aquazzura Casa tableware line, Riviera, with florals blooming in every shade of pink and a rainbow installation of over 300 Aquazzura shoes setting the scene. It was pure theatre, and the fashion followed suit.

Red-hot sass on a Roman night

Diane Kruger’s red Norma Kamali strapless mini dress—with its Pickleball-style bow—might divide opinions, but I’m fully in. The draped silhouette subtly nods to the styles worn by Roman statuettes, making it feel perfectly at home in this city of classical beauty. It’s playful, cheeky, and ideal for a balmy evening under the stars. Her punchy styling elevated the look even further, thanks to a raffia leopard-print Aquazzura clutch and a pair of gold mirrored Aquazzura Soave mules. Individuality has always been Diane’s north star, and this outfit is no exception.

Velvet in July? Surprisingly, yes please.

While I usually side-eye velvet in a heatwave, Jessica Kahawaty shut that argument down entirely. Her The Sei asymmetric aqua blue velvet gown was nothing short of mesmerising. The burnout effect added lightness to the fabric, while the cool tone mirrored the Mediterranean sea. The matching Aquazzura clutch sealed the deal—it’s giving siren in the city.

Blue hues Rule

It’s clear there was an unspoken blue memo, and Nieves Álvarez understood it fluently. Wearing a high-shine printed gown from Redondo Brand, she looked statuesque under the Roman sky. From afar, the shimmer mimicked all-over paillettes, adding depth and dimension.

And while the organza ruffled train may not be to everyone’s taste, it adds unexpected drama—and breathtaking from the back. She styled the look with silver Aquazzura sandals and a metallic Bvlgari clutch that echoed the glamour of the setting.

Edgardo Osorio, Creative Director of Aquazzura, was also on hand—and naturally matched the mood in coordinating blue tones. With such a scene-stealing atmosphere and equally head-turning fashion, this was no ordinary dinner—it was Roman glamour scripted like a Fellini film.
