We’ve all come to expect Ayo Edebiri to grace at red carpet in either Loewe or one of those cool, emerging labels she champions so well.
But today at the After The Hunt photocall in Venice, she threw us a delightful curveball by stepping out in Chanel.
Her off-white bouclé wool suit wasn’t your typical Chanel moment either, as the tailored jacket and balloon-shaped trousers felt like it was made for Ayo’s playful, slightly irreverent style. She has a knack for taking classics and giving them a twist — and this suit proves she can even make Chanel feel current.

What’s funnier is that we often complain about Chanel ambassadors never picking these kinds of looks — the ones that feel genuinely fresh and modern. Ayo isn’t even an ambassador, and yet she swoops in and shows everyone exactly how it should be done.

Ayo once again proves that when it comes to style, she’s always one step ahead. Finishing touches came via blush-toned Christian Louboutin Condora sandals.
Update: Thanks to Gaurav Dey for informing us that Ayo’s Chanel suit is a reproduction of a Chanel Spring 1999 Haute Couture by Karl Lagerfeld look.
