Dakota Johnson stepped out for the LA premiere of Splitsville at AMC The Grove 14, and for once, she left her signature style codes at home. No black, no sheer, no embellishment—just a full-on metallic Gucci moment that instantly caught attention.
The last time Dakota strayed from her fashion comfort zone was at Cannes for the Materialists premiere, where she dazzled in fringed pink. This time she served up a tinfoil-inspired dress that felt like it needed a little more time in the seamstress’s oven—the hemline was simply too long.
A little tailoring to lift the length would have given this look the sleek finish it deserved.
That said, it was refreshing to see Dakota and Gucci do something different, proving she isn’t afraid to experiment when the mood strikes. The metallics were heightened further with Roberto Coin jewels.
