Real ones will recognize Lindsay Lohan’s latest red-carpet look as a nod to her teenage Freaky Friday character, Anna Coleman.
The lilac Ludovic de Saint Sernin sequined gown that the 37-year-old wore to the London premiere of the Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, is an homage to the pale purple slip set that Lohan, as Anna, wears in one of the final scenes of the original 2003 film.

If you need a little refresher, allow me to set the scene: After Anna and her mom, Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis), return to their own bodies, Anna and her band Pink Slip perform at Tess’s wedding. As the credits to the film roll, Pink Slip plays “Ultimate,” the lesser known but nonetheless iconic tune from the movie. Notably, all the members of Pink Slip are barefoot. The whole scene is very punk rock.
