Lindsay Lohan continued her run of nostalgic fashion nods at Disney’s Freakier Friday premiere on Thursday at London’s Odeon Luxe Leicester Square. This time, she revisited one of her most iconic on-screen moments—channeling Anna Coleman’s “Ultimate” performance look from the original Freaky Friday. After already tapping into her movie archive with past premieres, this latest throwback continues the love letter to her Disney era.
When I first saw this look yesterday — with a raging headache — I immediately thought it was Atelier Versace. Between the mesh metal fabric and the lavender tone (a shade that dominated the Versace Spring 2025 collection), it felt like a plausible connection.

But this morning, with a clearer head, a closer inspection, and confirmation from Andrew Mukamal, I realised I was wrong — this is actually a custom design from Ludovic de Saint Sernin.

Let’s be honest: Versace would never. The bodice construction is where this look really falters. The cups aren’t sitting properly on the bust, and the seams have bunched up excess fabric in a way that just looks messy. Then there’s the corset, which cuts across the front and doesn’t sit flush against the body. Again, Versace would never.

That said, Lindsay herself looks great. The Judith Leiber guitar clutch was a clever nod to the original film, and there’s still something fun about her throwing it back to defining moments in her career.

But this custom moment from Ludovic de Saint Sernin should have been so much better than it was. A for concept. C– for construction.

Manolo Blahnik Paloma sandals and Samer Halimeh New York jewels rounded out the look.
Stylist: Andrew Mukamal.
