Pierce Brosnan has been delivering refined menswear moments throughout The Thursday Murder Club press tour, but his latest stop at the London premiere left me slightly torn.
The actor arrived in a custom Brioni double-breasted suit in a brown hue — a colour that has been trending strongly over the past two years. The tailoring was, as expected from Brioni, immaculate. Yet the caramel shade itself is leaving me torn. Perhaps it’s the fully monochromatic approach that makes me wonder whether layering different tones of caramel and brown could have created more dimension. Or maybe it’s just a case of nostalgia, as Brosnan has long been synonymous with timeless navy and black tailoring, so this departure naturally feels unusual.
His choice of dark brown Brioni lace-up derby shoes, though sleek, interrupted the line of his trousers. A pair of loafers might have offered a lighter, more fluid finish.
All that said, it’s refreshing to see Brosnan experimenting with colour. But what are your opinions on this colour?
