Kristen Stewart never blends into the background, even when the spotlight technically isn’t hers. After attending the photocall for her own directorial debut The Chronology of Water, she attended Zoey Deutch’s Nouvelle Vague premiere during the Deauville American Film Festival.
This time she even gave us complementary footwear with her Chanel Fall 2025 black silk organza top and skirt—progress.
Bearing in mind this wasn’t a premiere for Kristen’s own film, the mood is more relaxed at Deauville than what we usually see in Venice or Cannes, so her look reflects that perfectly.

Of course, some of you will zoom straight in on the black roots against her blonde, the intentionally wet-look hair, and that smoky eye dialed up to maximum. But to me, it all matches her energy—she’s not trying to be pristine, she’s leaning into a grittier, moodier kind of edge.
With Chanel’s Première Galon watch on her wrist and a chunky chain grounding the outfit, it’s very Kristen: nonchalant but deliberate. She knows exactly where the line is between undone and unbothered, and she walks it better than most.
