It appears that this is Momsen’s first time attending the VMAs, however, she and her band, The Pretty Reckless, were photographed at MTV’s European Music Awards in 2010. In photos from the event, the singer looks pretty much exactly the same—she’s even wearing a black bra top. And that’s on consistency.
One rather noticeable difference between the two looks, however, is her abs, which are absolutely shredded. Here she is in a photo with singer-songwriter YUNGBLUD, where they both appear to be flexing for the camera.
On the red carpet, Momsen told Page Six that she works out every day, and has recently taken up boxing.
“Boxing is my new obsession at the moment,” she said. “I secretly want to be ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer,’ so I’m like, well, I’ll just try to do that in real life.”
The Pretty Reckless aren’t nominated for any awards tonight, nor are they scheduled to perform, so there’s a good chance Momsen is at the event to promote their new song, “For I Am Death.” A few days ago, the band teased on X that they’re headed for a “new era.” Will Taylor Momsen choose the VMAs 2025 as the time to announce a new album?
