The Harper’s BAZAAR and Bvlgari ICONS celebration was already buzzing with cover star Dua Lipa and Tessa Thompson in attendance, but Tracee Ellis Ross brought the energy up another level.
So when she stepped out in a Saint Laurent boxy dress from the Fall 2025 collection with its sharp shoulders and inverted triangle silhouette, I couldn’t help but wonder why she hadn’t tapped into this collection sooner as the collection feels tailor-made for her.
There’s a strong nod to the 1990s haute couture era of Yves Saint Laurent in these pieces—not just in shape, but in colour. While her dress stayed sleek in form, the collection is filled with jewel tones that would also look incredible on Tracee.
She styled the look true to the runway with the oversized crystal pyramid necklace, black tights, and pointed pumps, but wisely skipped the gloves. If you remember Miley Cyrus’ attempt, you’ll know they’re nearly impossible to pull off.
For me, this was Tracee in her element—sculptural, confident, and completely at ease.
