Here is a look at the notable attendees at Vogue World: Hollywood 2025 held at the Paramount Studios on Sunday.
Biker era
Miley Cyrus wore a Saint Laurent look that channelled late ’70s and early ’80s Yves-era power dressing — all attitude. And yes, once again the oversized leather coat, cinched belt, gloves, and beret are a little overwhelming on Miley. Some might say she looks ridiculous; others will say it’s giving Parisian biker couture reimagined by Anthony Vaccarello. It would have worked for me with less volume.

Golden Girl
Becky G’s gold Georges Chakra gown with sequins, lace panels, and off-shoulder draping may not be to everyone’s liking, but it’s a perfect representation of her style — hyper-feminine, and unapologetically glamorous. The Chopard jewels sealed the deal, even if the look verged on predictable.

Keaton-coded
Camila Alves McConaughey’s Givenchy look was a nod to the timeless elegance of Diane Keaton with its sharp tailoring, monochrome palette, and easy confidence. Her Stuart Weitzman Stuart Power pumps were the perfect complement to the clean lines of the ensemble.

Westwood wobble
I’ve been praising Vivienne Westwood for over a decade, but it took Camila Cabello to present a dress on the red carpet that I can say, confidently for the first time, that I do not like. The construction feels awkward, the fit uninspired. Even her Jessica McCormack earrings couldn’t redeem it. However, it looks so good on the model.

Aging glamour
While this Ralph Lauren look is evocative of 1930s–1940s Old Hollywood romance, it reads as aging on Camila Mendes. With the hairstyle, this leaned too far into costume territory. Removing the belt might have saved it. The Anabela Chan earrings were a nice touch.

Drama queen
Yes, Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s Christian Siriano Spring 2026 look also falls into that “costumey” lane, but the Oscar-winner has mastered this kind of theatrical fashion. For her, it doesn’t feel forced — it feels like performance art done right.

Ambassador debut
Dakota Johnson’s first look as an official Valentino brand ambassador might surprise you — it’s not sheer. Before you celebrate, I don’t expect that she’s stepping into a sheerless era just yet. Styled with a Valentino Garavani DeVain bag, the look was soft, confident, and very on-brand for her. She’s finally found her home.

Futuristic force
Eiza González was one of my favourites of the night wearing a Mugler Spring 2026 embroidered leather bijoux dress with a drop-waist skirt, styled with David Yurman jewellery. The futuristic energy was so strong it could’ve easily belonged on the Tron: Ares press tour.

Deja vu
Halle Bailey wore a Lever Couture dress that embodied the label’s signature sculptural artistry. The mini version gave the design more of an avant-garde energy.

House code loyalist
Jennifer Connelly rarely strays from Louis Vuitton’s runway styling, but that changed for this Spring 2026 look as she only took the colourful fringed top and styled it with boots and a clutch — which is textbook Connelly.

Print overload
Some might argue Jennifer Hudson’s Harbison Studio look didn’t need the matching coat, but I’d counter that the coat makes the outfit. Without it, the mini dress would feel incomplete. The coat brings that larger-than-life presence we expect from Jennifer, though the print-on-print borders on overwhelming.

Wrong archive
This Balenciaga Fall 2008 dress is one of Nicolas Ghesquière’s most iconic designs — famously worn by Jennifer Connelly to the 2008 Met Gala. But on Karol G, it loses all its edge. MESSIKA jewels completed her look.

Mismatch mayhem
I’m not sold on this Louis Vuitton look for Liu Yifei. The red leather crop top, silver embroidered skirt, black Avalon boots look like they belong to three different outfits. Even her Petite Malle bag couldn’t bring cohesion. The whole look is jarring, as it doesn’t suit her aesthetic at all.

Regal fusion
Maitreyi Ramakrishnan wore a custom Manish Malhotra design that beautifully merged Indian craftsmanship with European romance. The pearl-embroidered bodice and pannier-style skirt created historical grandeur, while the gold brocade added radiance and gave us a refined example of cross-cultural red carpet dressing.

sheer brilliance
Maude Apatow’s Chloé Fall 2025 lace dress might be the most impressive sheer look we’ve seen this year. The skin-tone hue and drop-waist peplum bring subtle sensuality without tipping into overt exposure.

Mistaken Identity
Honestly, I thought this was Simone Ashley at first glance. I think I was fooled by Mindy Kaling’s long wavy hair and the fact that she was serving up modern glamour in this Hermès Spring 2026 leather look. This isn’t Mindy’s usual red carpet flair, but it’s totally working for her — aside from the accessories, which include brown Louboutins two sizes too big for her.

gold rush
Olivia Munn delved into the archives, wearing a Paco Rabanne Spring 1993 Haute Couture black dress which felt modern thanks to the sculptural gold accents. It feels more powerful than nostalgic.

curtain call
Conner Ives’ recent red carpet outings have been unimpressive, and Phoebe Tonkin’s floral dress continues that trend. It’s giving Von Trapp curtains.

Trench tantrum
I love Tracee Ellis Ross, but this Givenchy Spring 2026 look is just comical. The oversized trench swallows her frame, the wig is giving Peggy Mitchell, and the fringed shoes stump her legs. Even the jewels can’t rescue this.

Gold goddess
I’m never not going to love a fitted, gold-embellished gown, and Victoria Monét’s Rahul Mishra creation proves why. The silhouette hugged her beautifully, and the intricate embroidery gleamed under the lights — a true “main character” moment.

Gilded letdown
Viola Davis deserved better than this Swarovski Couture dress. The gold embellishment looked heavy, and for someone so regal on the carpet, this one simply didn’t rise to her level.
Supporting Actress
And in the background, Taraji P. Henson was wearing Off-White. A look that somehow summarised this entire red carpet: chaotic, mismatched, and inconsistent.
