Fresh from taking her front-row seat at Jonathan Anderson’s Dior Spring 2026 womenswear debut, Greta Lee stepped onto the Hollywood red carpet for the premiere of Disney’s Tron: Ares at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Monday evening — wearing a silver embroidered lace dress from that very collection.
Now, I don’t like to go out on a limb, but I have a strong feeling Greta didn’t love this dress. How can I tell? Because there’s hardly any photos of her facing the camera, and the rest show her turned to the side or with her back to the lens. Some might argue that she was simply showcasing the oversized bow detail on the back, but that feature is visible from the front too.

And honestly, I don’t blame her. The dress has an almost costume-like quality — more “next-gen Tinkerbell” than modern Dior muse. It’s ethereal to the point of fantasy, but it doesn’t align with Greta’s sharp, minimalist, and often experimental fashion identity. She’s someone who thrives in sculptural silhouettes, unexpected proportions, and bold textures — not sheer lace layered over a bodysuit four shades too pale for her complexion.

That said, Greta recently became a Dior ambassador, so we’re likely to see her continue exploring the brand’s new era under Jonathan Anderson. Sometimes that means stepping outside her comfort zone, even if the result doesn’t quite resonate.

She completed the look with Tiffany & Co. jewels, including a Tiffany Knot necklace, diamond studs, and a platinum ring featuring a green tourmaline — elegant touches that almost salvaged the moment, but not enough to make this feel authentically Greta.
