Rose Byrne’s promotion of her new film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You continued at the Rome Film Festival on Thursday evening, where she stepped onto the red carpet wearing a custom Prada gown.
It’s a sleek and sculptural design that perfectly aligns with Rose’s refined, minimalist sensibility. The structured peplum adds intrigue — especially when she turns to the side and you see that the peplum has pockets — to an otherwise pared-back silhouette.

That said, while Prada has delivered some truly breathtaking gowns this year — with Felicity Jones and Demi Moore already in BDOTY contention — this particular look falls just shy of that standard. From the peplum down, the execution feels slightly off. One final fitting could have corrected the skirt length and avoided the subtle breaks in the fabric, which distract from what might have been a flawless finish.
Still, Rose’s natural poise and quiet confidence elevate the overall impression. Paired with Bvlgari jewels and a soft beauty look, she remains the epitome of understated glamour — even when the tailoring doesn’t quite live up to her usual high bar.
