Taylor Swift may have been absent from her longtime best friend Selena Gomez’s bachelorette party, but nothing could have kept her away from the big day. Now, we finally have a glimpse of the two of them together on the day Gomez wed Benny Blanco, and yep, it’s as adorable as we’d hoped.
To celebrate the release of Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl (and also because the steady drip of wedding content is, frankly, a welcome distraction from the state of the world), Gomez just posted a few glimpses of the pals together as Gomez got ready to walk down the aisle, writing in an Instagram caption, “In honor of SHOWGIRL .. blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always.”
In the post, Gomez included a video Swift took of the tent where Gomez sat having her veil adjusted on the morning of the wedding, a picture of the two friends sipping drinks pre-ceremony (Swift is dressed for the ceremony; Gomez has a full face of makeup but hasn’t put on her gown yet), a picture that seems to be from the rehearsal dinner the night before, and a screenshot of Swift’s song “The Fate of Ophelia,” which is about finding your soulmate.
