So there were two moments for Ariana Grande at the Wicked: For Good Singapore premiere — the Balenciaga custom gown that served as the soft-launch teaser, and then this Thom Browne fairytale masterpiece she wore on the actual red carpet before the evening was cut short.
We know Thom Browne loves theatre — and, of course, those preppy, deconstructed school-uniform codes he’s practically built an empire on — and this gown proves he also understands the assignment when it comes to pure, unfiltered fantasy. Inspired by the woman, the film, and the moment, he crafted a gown that sits somewhere between storybook magic and couture illusion..
The off-the-shoulder bodice shimmered with intricate embroidery, catching the light in that gentle, moonlit way that feels almost so surreal. And then there’s the skirt — layers and layers of soft pink and blue tulle cascading into a cloud that turns every step into a soft exhale of fairytale energy. The sleeves, the silhouette, the drama (the good kind) — it’s all there.

Remember when I said I had a feeling that each new look from Ariana’s tour would become my new favourite? Well… here we are again. This one truly took my breath away.
It’s the kind of gown I missed so much during her first press tour — where the theme felt very prom. This, however, is a full-circle princess moment for the modern Glinda, anchored by sparkling Swarovski jewellery.
A fairytale written in tulle.
