There was an unfortunate incident at the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good, meaning the evening ended far earlier than planned. It’s a shame for everyone who worked tirelessly to bring the event to life, but several cast members still shared their looks on social media — and I’m choosing to honour that effort, because great craftsmanship deserves to be seen.
Michelle Yeoh, who returned to blonde hair for the occasion, posted images of her Iris Van Herpen Fall 2025 Haute Couture Biolume corset gown, reminding us yet again why couture can feel like theatre in its purest form.
This design sits firmly in the “how does this even exist?” category. Layers of opalescent glass-organza shift from bronze to smoky violet as if lit from within. The fabric is engineered into meticulous harmonica-like pleats, each panel stitched and shaped to create a fluid, rippling structure that opens out into a Victorian-inspired silhouette — sculptural, surreal, and entirely characteristic of Iris Van Herpen’s otherworldly approach to form.

She styled the look with Mikimoto jewels — a familiar pairing at this point — and her always-present Richard Mille watch, which has become as signature to her as her serene red carpet composure.
In a night cut short, Michelle still managed to deliver a moment worth celebrating. Couture at its most imaginative, worn by someone who understands how to let the artistry breathe.
