Rosalía attended the LOS40 Music Awards Santander 2025 in Valencia, where she was honoured with the Global Icon prize — a fitting title for someone whose impact reaches far beyond genre, and language. This ceremony is Spain’s biggest music celebration, comparable in scale to the MTV EMAs or the Billboard Music Awards, but shaped by a distinctly Spanish and Latin cultural pulse. So this was a home-stage moment.
Rather than leaning into something traditionally glamorous, Rosalía chose a custom Balenciaga look inspired by the Spring 2026 runway — a collection that marked the start of a new chapter for the house under Pierpaolo Piccioli. The base of the look pulls from three runway reference points: the sculptural sunglasses from Look 1, the puffed technical skirt silhouette of Look 5, and the fringed and textural language seen in Look 47.
On her, these elements come together with clarity without soften her and it sits with plenty of personality.

The oversized, jewel-encrusted mask sunglasses are the kind of choice that will divide opinions, but they make sense in the context of her career: Rosalía has always performed on the red carpet with strong persona.
This look walks a clean line between Demna’s edge and Pierpaolo’s architectural discipline — less chaos, more sculpted intent. It honours the transition happening at Balenciaga without losing Rosalía’s own instinct for experimentation. And for a Global Icon moment, that feels exactly right.
