We’ve covered the ladies, now let’s take a look at the young men who joined them on the LA black carpet for the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere. The girls arrived with gowns, lace, and drama. The boys? Well — varying levels of effort were made. Some leaned into character energy, some looked like they were on their lunch break from a SoHo advertising agency, and one arrived like the cover of a late-’90s alt-rock album (you’ll see).
Easy Cool Tailoring
Charlie Heaton wore a Saint Laurent suit featuring a mix of patterns, with the kind of slightly undone tailoring he’s mastered. There’s always a hint of thrift-store-adjacent nostalgia to his style, but he sells it with his usual slouchy charm and that “I’m not trying, but I am” energy.

Retro Rock Cosplay?
I wanted Joe Keery’s Gucci Spring 2026 leather look to land. It looked great in the lookbook, but on him it feels like it got lost somewhere between Drive and an Urban Outfitters sale rack. The 2000 David Beckham hair, the leather, the rings — it just leans a little dated, like a costume of himself a decade ago. This outfit worked better on Romeo Beckham.

Poetic Dark Romance
Jamie Campbell Bower arrived in custom Ann Demeulemeester look crafted for him by Stefano Gallici — and this is the kind of artistic, emotionally charged fashion that suits him so well. The slouchy jacket features embroidered text, layered over a kilt printed with one of his own poems. He is the label’s muse (having walked the Spring 2026 runway), and this look continues that story.

Regimental Chic
Caleb McLaughlin showed up looking like he’d just stepped out of a stylish alternate-universe military academy — the kind where everyone studies film theory and jazz instead of combat. The Wales Bonner Fall 2025 jacket with gold buttons and red piping has a ceremonial feel, but he wears it with total ease. Add the Hublot watch and you’ve got a look that’s sharp, self-possessed, and quietly flexing taste.

Goth Tailoring Touch
Finn Wolfhard leaned into a soft kind of punk in McQueen Resort 2026, where the distressed tartan detailing gave the suit a slightly haunted quality (very appropriate for Hawkins-adjacent storytelling). It’s thoughtful, which is exactly why it suits him.

Sharp and Classic
Noah Schnapp kept to a Balmain Fall 2025 pinstripe suit, again finished with a Hublot watch. Clean, precise, straightforward, but I’m still processing the belt over the jacket.

Laid-Back Tailoring
Gaten Matarazzo went for a relaxed grey pinstripe Canali suit styled with an open-neck black shirt. Nothing overly styled, but it suits him — approachable, unfussy, and charmingly real.
