Jennifer Lawrence is currently promoting her new film Die My Love, but the real headline this week is happening on the fashion side. Mid-press tour, the actress has quietly switched stylists — and the new energy is already unmistakable.
The most obvious signal? Black. A lot of black. Jennifer is now working with Ryan Hastings, whose aesthetic leans toward stark simplicity, and a kind of unfussy severity. It’s an intriguing contrast when you consider that her final look under Jamie Mizrahi happened to be one of her strongest Dior appearances in years at the New York premiere. A last hurrah, if you will.
But let’s get into the new chapter.
2025 CFDA Fashion Awards
This appears to be the first outing from the new partnership. Jennifer presented an award to W Magazine’s Sara Moonves wearing a black The Row Spring 2026 t-shirt and skirt, anchored with a Belperron crystal brooch. The intention feels clear: strip back the fuss and centre the silhouette. However, the waistband is tricky, but that is my own personal ick towards gathered paper-bag waist silhouettes.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Next came a Jacquemus one-shoulder dress that did what Jacquemus often does best: intentional simplicity with an exacting cut. It shaped beautifully on her.

Styled with Aquazzura Olie sandals and Jessica McCormack jewel, this felt like the wardrobe equivalent of exhaling.

Press Junket
Here’s where things got interesting. Jennifer wore a Lii Spring 2026 t-shirt dress with a sculptural skirt — arguably the most spirited look we’ve seen from her since pre-Dior contract (yes, we’re going as far back as 2012). The Givenchy Boudoir bow mules added charming cool-girl edge (a lá Charlize Theron), and the Gentle Monster La Cha sunglasses sharpened it all. This is the look that hinted this partnership could go somewhere unexpected.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations
For the conversation event, Jennifer wore a vintage Dolce & Gabbana buttoned dress, styled with Mansur Gavriel Kiki pumps, a Mansur Gavriel Fortuna mini bucket bag, and Ray-Ban Lady Burbank sunglasses. It’s exacting, minimal and direct — very Hastings-coded — and arguably the most convincing of the set.
Are we liking the Ryan Hastings era, or do we need to see more?
