Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo led Wicked: One Wonderful Night, the televised musical event recorded live at the Dolby Theatre in LA, celebrating the upcoming release of Wicked: For Good which flies into cinemas 21 November.

Alongside Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and breakout star Marissa Bode, this was not just a performance evening it is a two-hour warm-up to what is shaping up to be one of the biggest musical film rollouts of the decade.

But you’re here for the fashion. And the fashion? Glamour with intention. Costuming with storytelling. Press tour strategy with character arc.

Law Said: “Glinda, But Elevated”

If anyone had filed a petition for Ariana Grande to step away from pink for this press tour… consider that request politely declined. Law Roach is here, and he is leaning into the hue with creativity.

Ariana wore custom Robert Wun Couture, a romantic blush pink ball gown scattered with soft sculptural butterflies. The silhouette is classic Glinda—sweet, dreamy, almost floating—but the butterflies made it feel alive, like they had landed on her mid-song.

I’m sure you are already saying this could have been the world premiere gown. But Law Roach understands the long game. If this is the press-tour prelude, the world premiere look may knock us completely off our feets.

It’s also worth noting the storytelling: Ariana’s Glinda is warm, tender, emotionally intelligent—this look feels like the visual prologue to her performance.

Stylist: Law Roach.

Wicked Elegance

Cynthia’s look was Danielle Frankel Bridal Fall 2025—a structured pearl bustier with a dramatic fluted neckline paired with a black tulle column skirt that formed sculptural cascades from the waist.

Where Ariana leaned into Glinda’s fairytale aura, Cynthia channelled Elphaba’s gravity—serious artistry, emotional architecture, fabric arranged like sonnets. No literal green. Just mood. A quiet foreshadow of depth, complexity, and intensity.

The look feels rooted in theatre tradition: stage energy without the need for stage lighting.

Stylist: Jason Bolden.
