Gemma Chan attended The Actors Night hosted by The Actor Awards and ELLE, held at the Chateau Marmont in LA last night.
The British actress threw us a curveball in this Hermès Spring 2026 leather two-piece look. The structured bra top paired with the sleek, high-waisted skirt feels like a sharp pivot from the old-Hollywood glamour she typically brings to a carpet. The rich, earthy tone works beautifully on against her skin-tone.
This is wildly different for Gemma, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just unexpected. I’m sure many of you, like me, love her gown moments, but this event required a different energy, and she clearly read the room. I can’t say I’m completely sold, but I do appreciate that she’s never predictable, just predictably consistent in her willingness to try something new.
And looking at the model on the runway, I couldn’t help thinking how incredible this would have been on Jodie Turner-Smith.
