Tessa Thompson attended the 2025 Gotham Film Awards on Monday, continuing her strong awards-season form.
After a flawless Balenciaga run, she switched gears with a Schiaparelli Spring 2026 look — a change that felt fresh without abandoning her savvy style instincts.
The asymmetrical top in liquid-silver satin brought sculptural interest that didn’t feel overly busy like Emily Blunt’s version, while the matching bias-cut skirt created a smooth, elongated silhouette. On the runway, you can see the thigh-high slit, but Tessa chose not to make it the focal point — but nothing was going to upstage that shoulder detail.
What I like most is the clarity of the styling. Hair pulled back, understated jewellery, and a bare neckline let the craftsmanship speak for itself. It’s sleek, modern, and exactly what I want to see more of during awards season.
Stylist: Karla Welch.
