Danielle Deadwyler attended the 2023 Gotham Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday (November 27) in New York City.
We haven’t seen much of Danielle since awards season, but I’m happy to see that that period wasn’t a fluke when she stepped onto the red carpet wearing a look from the Rosie Assoulin Spring 2024 collection.
At first glance it looks like the ‘Till’ actress had joined the anti-iron revolution, but on closer inspection what we are seeing is the jacquard pattern on her coat, much to my relief.
We’ve seen plenty of men make coats the main focus of their looks, and now could see that trend taking off in womenswear.
I love how Danielle’s Rosie Assoulin coat creates a cool, yet relaxed take on tailoring.
I will assume she layered her longline coat over the same trousers we saw in the look book for a matchy ensemble.
I’ll surely be re-creating this the second I get a chance.
A Judith Leiber clutch completed her look.
