With the British Grand Prix this weekend and a lull in the red carpet scene due to the US holiday, it’s the perfect time to catch up on Lewis Hamilton’s stylish Formula One paddock appearances which have showcased a range of eclectic and bold looks.

Lewis sported a custom Marni pink and bone bomber jacket and flared trousers inspired by the Fall 2024 collection. However, the highlight of his outfit was undoubtedly the Marni BigFoot 2.0 sneakers. These oversized, puffy shoes were aptly named and hard to miss. Lewis’ look matched with his infectious smile, clearly showing that he was enjoying the fashion moment.

For his second look in Miami, Lewis turned heads in a Gucci Fall 2024 ensemble, featuring an embroidered tank top that exuded rapper/rocker vibes.

This custom Marc Jacobs look was adorned with the same silver disc embroidery might be giving you a sense of déjà vu as we saw this same detail on Venus Williams at the Met Gala.

In Italy, Lewis debuted a Prada Spring 2024 look with a school uniform vibe, which felt a bit too conventional for his daring style.

However, his Burberry Fall 2024 outfit, featuring the label’s heritage check and a v-neck cashmere knit top, was much more in line with his fashion-forward persona. This look allowed another glimpse at his tattoos, adding to its appeal.

Lewis’ Rick Owens Spring 2022 look was a jaw-dropping moment. His version featured wider and more prominent padded shoulders than the runway version, making it a standout of his season.

This edgy departure from his usual sporty lane was a refreshing change, but did he pull it off?

Monaco Grand Prix

In Monaco, Lewis continued to tease with v-neck looks. His custom Dior outfit by Kim Jones was no surprise, given his relationship with the brand.

Despite mixed opinions on Stella McCartney’s collections, Lewis pulled off this fringed Fall 2024 piece with his usual sartorial prowess.

His second Rick Owens Spring 2022 look of the season was more subdued and fitting for Monaco’s temperate climate.

In Canada, Lewis donned a Magliano Fall 2024 look, wisely steering away from the runway styling.

In a week where Usher tried to sell worn-in jeans on the red carpet, I have to say this distressed pair from Acne Studios works better for Lewis in the context of his style and profession, not that he is getting his hands dirty in the paddock, but he does sell them with his usual flair, pairing them with an embellished hoodie from Dsquared2.

Barcelona Grand Prix

Lewis began his Spanish stint with two Tommy Hilfiger looks, aligning with the brand’s sponsorship of the Mercedes team.

However, it was this cool summery look from Zegna’s Spring 2024 collection which made me swoon. The look was completed with white boat shoes from Marsèll, which should be a staple for every Hollywood stylist.

The following day, Lewis shifted seasons in a Gucci Fall 2024 ensemble, featuring a cozy wool bomber jacket with an embellished neckline that added his signature touch of flair.

Lewis was the perfect choice to debut the Dior x Stone Island collaboration, set to launch this month. This collection merges French luxury with Italian military functionality, appealing to both haute couture enthusiasts and Stone Island die-hards.

His relaxed, retro-inspired Tommy Hilfiger tracksuit in navy and yellow was another favourite of mine.

While Lewis in all-black ensembles aren’t my favourite, but his Dior Men Resort 2025 look in Austria exuded an effortless vibe, showcasing his ability to pull off any style with ease.

Lewis Hamilton’s 2024 Formula One season has taken us on a fashion journey: from bold, colourful statements to more subdued, elegant pieces, he continues to push the boundaries of paddock style, solidifying his status as a fashion icon on and off the track.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.
