'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' London Photocall

On Friday, following the premiere, the cast of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ attended the photocall held at One Marylebone in London.

A Bold and Thematic Nod

Jenna Ortega wore a McQueen Resort 2025 tailored burgundy blazer with contrasting red lapels, which follows the same theme of her Venice Film Festival photocall look, which was an ode to a Beetlejuice’s wedding tux. Some might argue that her look, with its visible red lace bra, bordered on being too sassy for a daytime photocall.  But I like how the styling with red tights and matching Le Silla pumps adds a point of difference without veering into the realm of déjà vu from Venice.

With Alison Lou jewelry and a Dana Rebecca Designs necklace completing her look, Jenna once again showcased her ability to mix contemporary style with thematic undertones.

Commanding and Contemporary

Catherine O’Hara is unquestionably a standout on this press tour, and her appearance at the photocall only reinforced that. Dressed in a Cong Tri Fall 2024 sequin-embellished tweed blazer and short set, she exuded confidence and modernity. While some might argue that the heavy fabric seemed out of place for late summer, I love how commanding this look is.  It would not have worked in Venice, but it feels right at home in London. Catherine’s look was completed with a Roger Vivier Viv’ Choc Strass Doudou mini bag and Christian Louboutin sandals, making this one of my favourite looks from her on this tour.

True to Herself

Winona Ryder has been a consistent highlight during the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ press tour, staying true to her signature style. For the London photocall, she opted for a vintage Marc Jacobs Prince of Wales suit accented with a leather black flower brooch. The look was quintessentially Winona, effortlessly blending her personal aesthetic with the film’s gothic vibe. The Ann Demeulemeester lace-up boots added a grungy edge, further cementing her commitment to authenticity. Winona’s ability to remain true to herself while embracing the theme of the film without any theatrics is something I truly admire.

A Familiar but Beautiful Choice

While some of you weren’t so confident about Monica Bellucci delivering during this press tour, I remained hopeful, and as expected, she looked stunning. Draped in her go-to label Dolce & Gabbana, Monicachose a dress that was undeniably beautiful. Yet, as much as I admire her elegance, this choice felt like a case of “Groundhog Day” for me. It’s a look we’ve seen before—gorgeous, but predictable. While I have no doubts about Monica’s ability to impress, I can’t help but wish she had opted for something a bit more unexpected for this occasion.
