Celebrating 20 years at NYFW the Falll/Winter 2024 Philip Lim show titled Memories of Joy had an easy confidence to it with pieces and finished looks that gave the sense of being truly comfortable with one’s style. More than just clothes in a collection, the way they were styled was a thing of beauty. And style they did with effortless hairstyles that everyone will covet this season. The vibe was created in one of two ways — easy breezy California chic with sun-kissed waves or sleek, urban and undone New York city chic. Collaborating with Dyson Beauty, stylist Benjamin Muller (@benjaminmullerhair) was behind creating the hair looks and below he’s giving us a sneak peak into the hairstyles we’re sure to cover this fall and winter.

Look #1: Natural Texture
- Start with freshly cleaned hair
- Next, create a natural center part

- Start with clean hair
- Next, create a center part

- Next, tie the hair into a loose ponytail by gathering the hair, leaving it slightly undone for a relaxed look.
- After that, secure with an elastic, looping it three times based on the model’s hair length.
- To add personality, pull out some small sections of hair around one side of the ear to create soft, loose details.
- To create balance, pull out a few strands on the opposite side, near the nape of the neck, for added texture and interest.
- To lock in the details, use hairspray to set the pulled-out pieces and ensure they hold.
