Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers’ Mazarine Group is set to acquire Arter, an events production company specialised in fashion and art.

Founded in 2004 by Renaud Sabari, Arter has staged major events for clients including Chanel, Chaumet, the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Musée Saint Laurent and the French pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

In its sale to Mazarine Group, Arter joins stablemates including communications agency Mazarine, fashion show producer La Mode en Images, Numéro magazine and Reiffers Art Initiatives.

Mazarine Group said the deal “reaffirms its position as France’s leading independent communications group specializing in luxury, fashion, art and culture.” The company said it expects to hit sales of €250 million ($275 million) this year.

The deal comes amid a wave of consolidation in fashion PR. Karla Otto-parent The Independents has acquired influencer marketing firms Ctzar and Lefty as well as event producers Bureau Betak and Prodject. Meanwhile, The Lede Company snapped up Olivier Bourgis’ OBCM agency last year.Financial terms of Mazarine’s deal with Arter were not disclosed.
