I’m not going to lie, I always love seeing what Jada shows up to the red carpet in. The fact that she wore Glenn Martins’ take on Jean-Paul Gaultier for the designer’s latest couture collection is quite literally the fashion moment of the year. It’s haute couture without being stereotypical haute couture—that is to say, it’s missing the typical girly, bubbly, feminine elements that I personally find a bore. The way Martins handles fabric is out of this world, and I’m so glad to see Jada chose a look from his Gaultier collection to grace us all with. —Ana Escalante, editorial assistant
Megan Thee Stallion
Meg went a bit out of the box with the blue and lots of leg! I love a sleek hair look with a plunging neckline and lots of skin! Bold makeup tied this look all together and made her look so elegant. —C.S.
Maggie Gyllenhaal
My favorite thing about Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Schiaparelli couture Oscar dress is that she looks, in a non-problematic way, like a paper doll—the structured, off-the-shoulder sleeves remind me of those little paper tabs. The gold accents look like the sparkly pompoms on a nicely wrapped gift, but run over by a car. The whole thing feels so tactile and sophisticated and suited to her leap to the world of screenwriting and directing. I love it, I love the whole thing. —Jenny Singer, staff writer
