If there’s one thing that H.E.R is going to do every time she walks on the red carpet, she’s going to make that space her own — and that rang truest on Sunday night (March 27) when she stepped out for the 2022 Oscars in Hollywood, California.
Through an evening dominated by more muted colours and conventional silhouettes, the Oscar-winning musician served as a bright light on the occasion in her bright yellow Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2022 gown — complemented by strappy black Giuseppe Zanotti heels, emerald Chopard jewels and a shape-giving black Tyler Ellis clutch.
Everything that H.E.R. does, she does really well — from her music to her fashion, she never fails to add her own effortlessly cool flair to the moment.
Sure, this might not be the draping, floor-length Cinderalla-inspired gown that fashion aficionados pine for on the Oscars red carpet.
But I’d argue that it’s actually much better — and sunnier!
