Sofia Carson was unmissable while strutting the 2022 Oscars red carpet on Sunday (March 27) in Hollywood, California.
After dropping her debut album, the singer and Disney Channel alum managed to extend her already eventful weekend with a visit to the Oscars — and sported a show stopping black Giambattista Valli Spring 2022 Haute Couture ball gown while she was at it, too.
The Cinderella-style tulle dress found some much-needed structure via its sheer strap cut up top, and dainty, understated jewels completed the ensemble.
While the Oscars are undeniably the best place to lean into more statement fashion pieces, I feel like Sofia’s frame and inimitable red carpet flair get lost in translation through this gown.
Something as simple as a high-cut leg slit would give this skirt (and the overall look) some more room to breathe.
