The 5 Things I Ordered from the Madewell Sale

Two posts today! Huzzah! I’m getting tomorrow’s post up early to give you more time to shop and save. 😉 (Then I’m signing off for the weekend early to soak up the rest of our time in Florida before we leave Monday! 😭)

When it launched last week I purchased a few spring/summer staples and then had them express shipped here in Florida so I could shoot them for you before the sale ended!

I feel like this rarely happens but…I’m keeping EVERYTHING I ordered! Each of the 5 items is so good–so I hope if you’ve been searching for some cute essentials to round out your warm weather wardrobe, that you’ll find something here to fit the bill! Perfect Vintage White Wide Leg Cropped Jean:

I’ve been in search of some non-skinny white jeans that could be dressed up or down and I’m happy to say I finally found them! (If you’re looking for white skinnies though, I’ve owned these Madewell ones for years and they are amazing!) Madewell is well-known for making excellent white denim that is comfortable and not see through! (I’m wearing black underwear here and you can’t tell at ALL). Because these have no rips or raw hems, they’re also really great for dressing up–say, for work, or for a baby shower!

Sizing: They have some stretch to them and the denim is very soft. I ordered my regular size (26) and they fit nicely without being too tight or too loose. If you’re between two sizes, I’d take the smaller size.

Madewell cropped sweater tank:

I love a good sweater tank, and love that this one is cropped as it’s perfect to wear with high rise jeans, pants, and shorts. Perfect for hot days and dressier/chicer than a regular tank top or tee. I’ve only had this two days and I’ve worn it both days–once with jean shorts, the other time with my gauzy pants below!

Sizing: I ordered my regular size (small) and it’s a relaxed fit but not too loose. If you want it more formfitting you could size down.

Bra: I’m wearing this sticky bra here but if you had a regular bra with straps that can criss-cross in the back or a racerback bra, that would work just fine here!

I LOVE THESE PANTS. They might be my favorite thing out of the bunch. They’re so SO comfortable. If you love the look of linen but you can’t tolerate it because it’s not soft enough – you will love these. (You’ll love them even if you love linen.) They actually have a whole collection of items made of this magical material called the “Lightspun” collection. You can shop them all right here!

These pants are the ultimate summer staple. You can dress them up or down (see below for how to dress them up). They go so cute as an official matching set with my sweater tank. You could even pair them with a popover like this one (also on sale and an awesome staple that I love) and some loafers for a more casual but professional office environment.

Sizing: TTS. Wearing small

Perfect Vintage Jeans in Ainsworth Wash:

I own the perfect vintage jeans in Fitzgerald wash already (and I love them!) but I fell in love with the raw hem (and mid blue wash!) on this pair. Same style, but different features, and more stretch than the other pair I own! These are so comfy, and the raw hem makes every outfit more fun and interesting!

Sizing: I ordered my regular size (26) and they’re snug but still very comfortable. They do have some stretch to them so if you’re in between sizes I’d go with the smaller size.

Madewell Lightspun button-front gauzy dress:

This dress has been my number one bestseller this week–so many of you purchased it and I hope you love it as much as I do! It’s truly one of the most functional summery dresses you could purchase. I wore it to lunch and later to the pool yesterday. The buttons are fully functional, it’s breezy and light and flowy–the material is SO soft and cool to wear on the hottest of days. Dress this dress down with sneakers, dress it up with some casual wedges or low heels. You can even unbutton it and wear it as a cute beach coverup like I did yesterday! (Definitely a postpartum essential, wish I’d had it last year!)

Sizing: Took my regular size, small. Very roomy–if you want it more fitted, you could size down! You don’t need to size up for a bump–it has plenty of room and you won’t want it to be too big once baby arrives!
