Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Hunter Schafer were some of the best dressed at this year’s awards.
And just like that, the award show of the year is over. With the best and brightest in Hollywood turning up to celebrate those making waves on the big screen at this year’s 94th Academy Awards, the Oscars, as per usual, played host to some truly dramatic on-stage antics, emotional acceptance speeches and fierce looks.
With this in mind, we have taken the time to sit down and pay tribute to some of the best dressed of the night. So, head below to enjoy the outfits that the likes of Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and more wore to this year’s Oscars…
Timothée Chalamet
Let’s start with what was obviously our favourite moment of the whole entire night: the scenes of a chest-baring Timmy Chalamet. Opting for a midnight black hue, we were treated to a set of perfectly tailored trousers and a cropped blazer from the star, set ablaze by intricate sequin detailing all of which were crafted by the minds over at Louis Vuitton. To round off the look, the actor chose to school us in the art of jewellery layering as a delicate silver piece hung from his neck. The king of the red carpet is back, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Zendaya
Of course, Timmy’s Dune co-star and fellow red carpet royalty, Zendaya was another name that commanded our attention at the Oscars last night. After turning out a cropped Valentino shirt and glitter-adorned skirt for the ceremony, the Euphoria star looked to the wonders of tailoring for a two-piece suit courtesy of Sportmax which she layered with a grape toned shirt and leather tie. With the star’s drip coming straight from Bulgari, which included an ornate broach whose silver tones perfectly matched those in her eyeshadow, it was made clear that Luxury Law had a clear vision in mind which is executed perfectly. If you catch us rocking a tie from now on, don’t ask questions.
Hunter Schafer
Another look that Luxury Law whipped up was shown off by Hunter Schafer, and it had the actor in her ethereal fairy bag. Donning a Rick Ownes gown, Hunter embraced a fish tale silhouette and dusky sand and moon grey colour palette with a half slicked and half front falling hair moment elevating the look to one of an other-worldly nature. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate Hunter and Dominic Fike making their red carpet debut as a couple last night – our hearts are full.
Kendall Jenner
While her sister may be the OG Balenciaga muse of the family, we need to take a moment to appreciate Kendall Jenner’s after-party look. With the model’s go-to figure-hugging silhouettes disregarded for a billowing Balenciaga gown complete with a dramatic bust-lining ruffle and floor-grazing train, Kendall brought the drama to the blue carpet, and for that we are truly thankful. Also, we are officially in support of this deep ginger hair moment.
Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stweart will always be a Chanel girl and for good reason. A plunging neckline and sheer black lace, what more could you want from an Oscars look?
Dakota Johnson
When it came to Gucci looks of the evening, Dakota Johnson in a grown snatched straight from the Love Parade obviously took first prize. Washed over in a subtle, dusty rose hue, Dakota was the epitome of old Hollywood glamour as thick sequins and wispy feathers trickled down into a fluffy train. Claps for Dakota Johnson, please.
Lily James
Proving that she really can take on any aesthetic and dominate it, Lily James turned it out the last night. In a drastic switch-up from her Pam & Tommy bombshell blonde, the actor turned to a deep chocolate shade for her hair, which sat atop a truly elegant Atelier Versace evening gown. With a thigh-high slit breaking off into a fluid skirt and intricately embroidered body, all of which boasted a colour akin to the artificial strawberry ice cream that has in a frenzy as children, it is fair to say that Lily was a vision.
Anya Taylor-Joy
When it came to the accessories of the evening, we must give mention to Anya Taylor-Joy’s tulle headpiece. Meeting a delicate sheer bustier dress from Dior’s AW22 collection, the Peaky Blinders’ star gave us elegance and drama in equal measure as her cage-esque face-covering floated afront of a perfectly beat face and red lip.
Rosé
Completing our round-up is a look from Saint Laurent’s pre-Oscars party. Bringing the sparkle to award season, BLACKPINK’s Rosé opted for an iridescent slip, layered over a black corset bodysuit culminating a strapless midi-dress perfect for the party. We must also take a moment to appreciate those neck-stepping boots, please.
