One day, decades ago (I’m guessing), Kris Jenner got a pixie cut and stuck with it because it worked.
Today, however, is the dawn of a new era: Jenner has abandoned the pixie cut – the only haircut we have ever known on her – for a bob.
In an Instagram story shared on her official account on the evening of April 5, Jenner debuted a straight, sleek bob with a wispy bang. What is happening? Is this the vibe shift? Jenner wore the new look for the launch party for daughters Kylie and Kendall’s collaboration for Kylie Cosmetics.
Jenner’s bob is still in her signature black hair color. The cut falls just above her shoulders, and her ends were curled inward in a classy, sophisticated style. (She has neither confirmed nor denied whether the cut is a tribute to her mom, Mary Jo (MJ) Campbell, who often appeared on the family’s reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, sporting a similar look.)
Kylie captured her mom’s new look on her Instagram stories during Kris’s toast to her daughters on their special night. “I couldn’t be prouder of anyone in my entire life,” Kris said. The dinner also included specialty cocktails—called “the Kylie” and “the Kenny”—made with Kendall’s 818 Tequila, which the supermodel launched last year.
The Kendall and Kylie collaboration launches on Wednesday, April 6 at 3 p.m. ET, and includes eye shadow and contour palettes, lip colors, and more.
