Kendall Jenner isn’t just matching her purse with her wardrobe these days — instead, she’s taken it a bit further by matching her vintage lavender Cadillac with her mid-length, square-shaped manicure. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the supermodel with this 1960 Eldorado. In fact, Jenner’s been riding in this lavender convertible for years; the only thing that’s new is her matching manicure. While the Kardashian-Jenner family is known for switching up the paint jobs on their expensive wheels (remember the Lamborgini wrapped in Skims-branded fabric), this convertible has stayed true to its colors.
Kendall Jenner uploaded a photo of the lavender Cadillac to her Instagram story on Sunday, May 8, followed by a close-up of her manicure with the car in the background. She captioned the photo “a perfect match” while crediting her go-to North Hollywood nail salon, Modern Pamper Salon. Although the world may never know what sparked the idea to color match her manicure with her vintage whip, one thing is for certain: monochrome nails are in and hopefully here to stay this summer. (Says me with my shaky hands that cannot do even the simplistic nail designs to save my life).
So what do you think — was the lavender Cadillac her nail inspiration when it came to picking a shade for her nails? I’m almost 100 percent certain it was not a coincidence. My only question is: did Kendall Jenner show her manicurist a photo of the car? How else could she have been able to get an exact shade match to that dreamy Eldorado convertible of hers?
