For the 2022 Met Gala, Normani playfully mixed up elements of the Gilded Age silhouette and put a very modern, sexy spin on it. Bustle meets crop top, fancy hat but make it on the side. The all-black look reminds us of Naomi Campbell, with a hint of Janet Jackson.

Last year, the former Fifth Harmony member wore a bright yellow Valentino gown reminiscent of a Disney princess and accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino, the chartreuse dress complemented her complexion beautifully. As Normani mentioned to red carpet correspondent Keke Palmer, per PopSugar, “Yellow pops on dark skin. I feel regal. I feel like a queen.”
