Not all of us can get away with covering our ears with our hands and letting out a cry of anguish in public, but Prince Louis is not like all of us. (For one, he’s four years old, but I digress.)
All eyes were on the youngest Cambridge kid as the family, including great-grandma Queen Elizabeth and grandpa Prince Charles, stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch as planes representing the Royal Navy, the British Army, and the Royal Air Force aircraft zoom past. The event takes place each year for Trooping the Colour, the celebration of the reigning monarch’s birthday, but 2022 got a bit of an upgrade.
This year’s flypast featured 70 planes (one plane for each year of Queen Elizabeth’s reign?) as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebration, in honor of the Queen’s 70 consecutive years on the British throne. The aircrafts were visible from London and a few surrounding counties, according to the Mirror.
Sounds…loud, to be honest.
