I love a good red-carpet pregnancy reveal, and lucky for me, Zawe Ashton does too.
The actor is pregnant and expecting her first child with fiancé Tom Hiddleston, Vogue reports. Ashton dropped the news while sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her red-carpet prep for a special screening of her new film, Mr. Malcom’s List, on Wednesday, June 29 in New York City.
For the screening, Ashton wore billowing beige gown embellished with cascading beads that draped over her growing bump. The off-the-shoulder dress, by Sabina Bilenko Couture, also featured a sheer cape, a bedazzled empire waist, and subtle floral detail at the arm.

Ashton paired the gown with a half-up, half-down hairstyle and soft makeup, both of which played into the romance of the look. (Mr. Malcom’s List is a Regency-era rom-com, so the styling makes sense.)
Ashton, 37, and Hiddleston, 41, met while working on the play Betrayal in 2019, which first debuted on the West End before transferring to Broadway. They confirmed their relationship in 2019, and made their red carpet debut at the 2021 Tony Awards. Just earlier this month, People confirmed that pair was engaged after Ashton was spotted with a ring at the 2022 BAFTAs.
