Today, we are sharing our favorite looks from Paris Haute Couture Fall / Winter Week 2022 – 2023.

Paris Haute Couture Week Fall / Winter 2022 – 2023 Looks We Love!

Schiaparelli

One of our publisher KOKET’s (and ours, of course, too!) favorite designers is Schiaparelli. The intricate detail of each look is exemplary. And, in the words of our founder, Janet Morais, “can make any heart beat.” The incorporation of metals and utilizing the luster of those metals to illuminate the look and give it that heartbeat of life is truly remarkable. And the oh the florals! Words are not needed. These designs are nothing short of sleek, classy, and lavish.

Iris Van Herpen

If you are looking for bold designs that utilize structure to command attention, look no further. Iris Van Herpen’s collection “Meta Morphism” utilizes the structure of fabric and material to create a continuous and elegant flow of textiles that is unequivocally sublime. Iris Van Herpen’s designs play into the space surrounding the model. Pushing the boundaries of fashion and making these designs so structurally brilliant and bold.

Elie Saab

When reviewing the Elie Saab collection, the words majestic and sophisticated seemed to drape across each design. The details in the structure of the fabric are stunning. The placements of material on the necks, in particular, showcased a regal element seen throughout the collection. When asked about his addition of light colors and details amidst the black and red contrasts in the collection, Saab noted, “I was thinking about how the light turns magical, into pink gold at dusk, after the sunset and before the evening.”

Rahul Mishra

The intricate details in the collection Rahul Mishra showcased are exemplary. These pieces are part of the “Tree of Life” collection by Mishra, and the designers truly embody the theme beautifully. Mishra explained, “This collection renders our gratitude for nature’s wisdom. Under the glorious setting sun, how every leaf transmutes to gold, with glimmering drops of dew—a pinnacle of life.”

Jean-Paul Gaultier

For Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Fall / Winter 2022 – 2023 Haute Couture collection the brand invited guest designer and creative master behind Balmain, Olivier Rousteing. The intricate detail of lines on the body that the designer uses to create these distinct shapes is a masterpiece. In some designs, points of fabric emphasize the shoulders, and others create the visual of a flow of fabric following the flow of the body. A truly riveting experience to see walk down the runway at Paris Haute Couture Week.

Maison Margiela

John Galliano, creative director for Maison Margiela, took an untraditional route when it came to Paris Haute Couture Week. A 30-minute production of Cinema Inferno was the platform the creative director utilized to showcase his collection. The collection included immaculate detailing to each piece to help tell the story performed. Bold colors, prints, and ideas run through this striking collection.

Alexandre Vauthier

We can see two different sides to the French designer showcased in his show in Paris. There is a soft and elegant side that aligns with the look with seamless lines and a fit to flatter the woman’s body. There is also a bold and exciting moment with the use of fringe in his designs as well as bold colors throughout the line that was shown at the show this past week. These are both looks that we definitely hope to see on the red carpets soon.

Alaïa

Pieter Mulier, the creative director for Alaïa, explained that this collection is all about beauty. The neutral colors of the collection brought everything back to the basics of beauty in the simplicity of fashion. The addition of oversized coats for the fall and winter seasons brought a new silhouette into the collection that melded beautifully with the bodycon pieces of the collection.

Fendi

Fendi is back for a simple and sophisticated show. The use of print and color creates a new path in the show that is unique to Fendi. Fendi chose to elevate the basics using sheer fabric over neutral bodysuits and streamlined fits to style for a variety of occasions. We loved the dazzling way that Fendi showcased the staggering beauty in minimalism with their chic designs as Paris Haute Couture Week came to an end.

Dior

Dior put on a stunning show filled with dignified and smart looks to add to your fall and winter wardrobe wishlist. The designs shown were modest, sleek, and very detailed. The collection was inspired by folklore and tradition, and we believe that it hit the mark. Inspiration and collaboration for the line were taken from Ukrainian artist Olesia Trofymenko to bring light to the real-world problems that are still very present in our lives today. The designs and the message were absolutely remarkable.

Chanel

We saw a mix of fabrics and designs at the Chanel portion of Paris Haute Couture Week. The need for tweed is back, and Chanel made it known with the fall and winter lines displayed. We loved the elongated skirt hems and both long and cropped tweed layering options to bring Chanel back to its roots.

Dolce & Gabbana

In honor of their celebration of a decade of Alta Moda, Dolce & Gabbana has brought their fall and winter line back to where it all began: Sicily. We could see the Italian roots in every piece that Dolce & Gabbana displayed. From the Roman Catholic influences of rosaries to adorn and magnify the designs to the bold colors and use of lace to cover the model’s entire bodies. Striking elements of gold, lace, and color made this line one for the books.

Valentino

The collection named “The Beginning” was introduced on the Spanish Steps in Rome, and we saw a combination of wardrobe basics with decorous elements. Tanks, bodysuits, and pants were paired with headdresses, feathers, and flowing capes to encapsulate the woman’s body and her fierce heart for the designer’s vision of the modern woman. The bold colors and adornments were signatures of the Italian haute couture brand.

ArdAzAei

The haute couture debut of ArdAzAei did not disappoint. The chosen theme, “Midnight in the Persian Garden,” was beautifully illustrated through each design as they made their way down the runway. Sharp edges to highlight the natural structure of the body played into the rhythmic nature portrayed in the designs. We are looking forward to what the designer, Bahareh Ardakani, has in store.

Juana Martin

Martin’s signature black and white looks were found at the Paris Haute Couture Show made with a mix of natural wool, silk, and tulle to all to the lavish look and feel of the designs. What was simple in color was made bold with the structures created. Grandiose hats, earrings, and sleeves pulled this collection together and took elegance to a new level.
