Here is a roundup from the ladies who attended the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Women’s Show and the Alta Sartoria Men’s Show this weekend in Sicily, Italy.
Mariah Carey served up a fantasy moment wearing a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown made entirely of Sicilian tiles.
The look was of course style with a gold bijoux encrusted tiara and Alta Gioielleria earrings.
Something tells me this is exactly what Mariah wears on a yacht while on vacation. Tiara and all.
For the women’s show Drew Barrymore looked ever so charming wearing a Dolce & Gabbana pleated dress embroidered with handmade floral sleeves.
I love how the floral headband enhances the dramatic appeal of this look, while providing some balance to the sleeves.
I was a lot less enthused with her custom Dolce & Gabbana look for the men’s show.
I totally get the vision from the menswear inspired outfit, to the slick back hair and makeup-less makeup, but she didn’t sell it to me, however, I will give her credit for the commitment to the look.
Heidi Klum in a colourful embroidered Dolce & Gabbana custom jumpsuit?
Yes please. I want more of this from Heidi. This might just be one of her best looks of the year.
A matelassé Dolce box clutch and black glossy patent sandals completed her look.
Emma Roberts was pretty in custom pink Dolce & Gabbana.
Are the floral appliqués too much?
Not for me. They refreshed two signature pieces, ensuring this look was unique to her.
She accessorized with a floral choker and silver double platform sandals.
It seems like the women opted for moodier options for the men’s show.
Emma Roberts dipped into the archives to unearth this charming Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 gold brocade mini dress.
I’m sure some will feel that the black bow was too overwhelming on this dress, but I found it quite enchanting.
This whole look feels more suited to her style than the first in my opinion.
Lucy Hale eased her way into my top 5 at this event wearing a custom Dolce & Gabbana chartreuse mesh dress accented with Swarovski crystals and 3D flowers.
I love how the likes of Helen Mirren and Sharon Stone gave us grand looks, while Emma Roberts and Lucy gave us looks that infuse an alluring design with a romantic sensibility.
Lucy accessorised with a gold Dolce box clutch and gold double platform sandals.
I want to say I expected more from Monica Bellucci, but this all black Dolce & Gabbana look is very expected.
Kitty Spencer, who’s wedding gown was designed by Dolce & Gabbana, wore an ivory Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda dress with floral appliqués for the women’s show.
While staying on theme by opting for something darker and more moodier wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda black lace gown for the men’s show.
The first gown feels very regal, while the second feels more like a signature Dolce & Gabbana gown which I wish had been a (lined) option for Monica, who is my ultimate Dolce & Gabbana woman.
