Whenever I see large, checkered pieces like this, it always takes me back to the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 collection, however, this look was from the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2022 collection.
So Ellen S. solved the mystery as to why there are so many Fall-like looks at Comic-Con, as they said that the convention center where this event is held is freezing, so that will immediately answer why Karen is wearing such a heavy wool coat with knee-high boots in San Diego in the middle of July.
Even without that helpful information, I think Karen gets away with this look on account of the lightness of the summery hues.
