What’s your go-to getting ready music?
Halle: I’ve got mine! My go-to getting ready music has been ‘Have Mercy’ and ‘Surprise’ and ‘Treat Me.’ I have been playing ‘Suprise’ on repeat, no lie, especially when getting ready because it makes me feel like that girl when I’m about to leave the door. And then all of Renaissance.
Chlöe: I will say ‘Alien Superstar’ is my getting ready song. And the part where she goes, “Bad bitch, I’m the bar. Alien superstar.”
What’s the last Instagram rabbit hole you went down?
Halle: Oh, every day. I was watching cat videos this morning.
Chlöe: You know, I was on Instagram today, doing a little stalking.
If you could change one thing about beauty perceptions on social media, what would that be?
Chlöe: That perfection exists. You know, it’s not possible with all of the filters and editing. It creates such a false narrative of what we look like and how we’re supposed to be perceived. I wish that there were disclaimers like, “This photo has been highly edited.”
Who are the women who inspire you the most right now?
Chlöe: My sister, my god-mom, my nana, and my late grandmother. My mom. Who else? Beyonce. There are a lot of women.
Halle: Yeah, there’s a lot of women. I’d say all the women in my family. My sisters, my mom, my nana, my aunts.
What’s your power perfume and why?
Halle: I stole this one from Chloe, but I didn’t steal the exact one because I got the upgraded one. It’s this Valentino that I smelled on Chloe first, and I was like, what is that? It smells so good, because it smells so sweet and has vanilla tones.
Chlöe: I don’t use that one anymore, not because we share, but mine spilled in my bag at the airport. However, I have found ones that I really like. There’s this Givenchy one and a Bottega one that is fantastic.
