I want to love this Rick Owens Fall 2022 part-sequinned, part-denim look on her so bad, but I don’t.
Gwendoline Christie is a proud 6ft 4in (1.91m) tall woman, so how does this look appear too long for her?
I’m genuinely baffled. Especially as I know the model isn’t as tall, and she brought this look to life on the runway.
With Gwendoline’s tall frame this look should’ve been light work for her, but the grooming especially on the neckline when it comes to the half cape, and the length of the skirt let her down.
This should’ve been a BDOTY worthy moment, but it would struggle to be a BDOTW look for me.
If you’re keeping score this is the second Gwendoline look I have struggled to get on board with.
Perhaps it’s time to to get Iris van Herpen, Giles Deacon or whoever has styled her in the past back on the phone.
