It’s been hailed as a must have for any capsule wardrobe, and “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown has yet again showcased the simplistic sophistication of the little black dress. Looking effortlessly chic as she attended the Samsung 2022 Galaxy Creators Lounge event in New York City on Aug. 10, she stepped out in a lace-trimmed Louis Vuitton minidress straight from the spring/summer 2022 runway.
The 18-year-old gave the timeless look a modern twist. The double spaghetti straps and V-neckline were designed with a bubble-hem peplum at the waist, and the silk fabric skirt was finished with a lace trim. She paired the loose-fit dress with chunky black patent Mary Jane platform heels that perfectly offset the floaty frock, accessorizing with a simple gold chain necklace, hoop earrings, a bangle, and a ring.
Brown continued to juxtapose the classic with the contemporary as her hair and makeup were flawless. A little black dress and a punchy red lip are undoubtedly a winning combination, and Brown proved it with a sweep of bold lipstick. Matte skin and a subtle gold eyeshadow with her signature smoky eyeliner completed her makeup. She also gave her blond hair a middle parting, sleeking her bob haircut down and tucking behind her ears to keep her look fuss-free. It was a dramatically different feel from her long blond hair and fringe she debuted at the “Stranger Things” premiere back in May.
After another incredible season playing Eleven in “Stranger Things,” she’s been using the summer for some well-deserved downtime and vacationing in Italy with her boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi. The couple also attended Harry Styles’s Love On Tour at London’s Wembley Stadium, and Brown posted a snap of the pair sharing a sundae and playing on an arcade dance machine alongside the caption “Always b my baby.”
Her outing this week follows her recent interview with Allure magazine, in which she opened up about growing up in the spotlight. “I just have to develop within myself. That’s what I did. That’s what I’m doing,” she told the publication. She’s certainly developing into a style icon to us.
