Leave it to Emily Ratajkowski to show us how to be sophisticated and super-sexy at the same time. The model/actor/author/swimwear designer walked the runway at the Tory Burch New York Fashion Week show in the Falliest of Fall colors, orange and brown. In a maxi skirt and three-quarter-length sleeves, it’s giving Mom Visits Pumpkin Patch in 2003.
The twist? Now only is her top sheer, so is her bra. What are we calling this look? It’s not a Going Out Top, it’s an Already Out Top. I love how the outfit covers her with fabric from head to toe yet is form-fitting and revealing, there are layers, but not much material; it’s the kind of juxtaposition that makes fashion fashion. And to be honest, I was getting really sick of cut-outs. If you wanna show skin, maybe try mesh instead!

The rest of the look includes a black belt bag (I think they should be called Waist Wallets but the Tory Burch website doesn’t have a section for that), light shoes, tousled hair and crafty statement earrings.
Burch herself posted a clip from the show to Instagram Reels, writing, “An exploration of form. @emrata in sheer, body-conscious layers at our #ToryBurchSS23 show.” I’m definitely using that next time I accidentally buy an un-lined dress. It’s not see-through, it’s a body-conscious exploration of form!
