It’s been quite the year for Lily James in the hair department. Not only did she experiment with platinum blonde (albeit via a wig) when she starred as Pamela Anderson in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, but she also managed to pull off a dramatic jet black shade, complete with micro-fringe, for a Versace campaign. In between, she tried shades of caramel and chocolate brown, along with some sun-kissed balayage.
But it seems that Lily James is not done yet. There are still a few months of 2022 left in which to experiment, after all. At the BFI London Film Festival Luminous Gala on Thursday, September 29, the actor showed off a new hue: a burnished copper red.
Take a look, below.
With her hair in a chic but artfully undone up-do, James’s new hair color flattered her alabaster skin tone, and she paired it with rosy cheeks and a pink lip.
Reminiscent of the shade that all the cool girls—everyone from Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner to Emily Ratajkowski—tried their hand at earlier in the year, her new look suggests that this particular hair trend is going nowhere this winter.
