Alexa Demie’s recent hairstyles couldn’t be further from the sassy lengths she flicked around as high school queen bee Maddy Perez in Euphoria. From choppy fringes to slicked-back pixie cuts and super-straight crops, Demie has been a refreshingly experimental arrival on the Hollywood beauty scene since she shot to fame.
While the raven pixie cut (plus cargo pants and sunnies) she wore earlier this year had shades of Trinity from The Matrix, her curve-skimming velvet gown and retro waves at a Tiffany & Co. party this week was a moody twist on Old Hollywood glamour.
At the event Alexa Demie wore an off-the-shoulder corset in plush velvet and matching maxi skirt, souped up with Tiffany diamonds—a more classic choice than the fashion-forward Balenciaga gowns she’s worn of late. Meanwhile, her elegant loose curls were reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s signature hairstyle.
With the addition of Alexa’s trademark winged eyeliner, skinny brows, and dark lined lips—similar to the beauty look she chose for the Academy Museum Gala earlier this month—it all added up to an alternative (and very Halloween appropriate) homage to Hollywood’s most famous screen siren.
