Addressing the world climate crisis has become a priority for the fashion industry. From biodegradable packaging to the use of recycled nylon and organic cotton to make clothing, brands are reassessing the environmental impact of the production chain in an effort to fight the erosion of the planet. In that same spirit, DSquared2, the “born in Canada, made in Italy” brand run by the twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten, has launched ONE LIFE ONE PLANET, a capsule collection made of sustainable materials that’s complimented by an internal, company-wide program intended to better educate employees on the importance of environmentally conscious design.

The second installment of the collection—featuring striking outerwear in hues of bright orange and yellow, plus bags, boots, and sweaters emblazoned with DSquared2’s “ONE LIFE ONE PLANET” plea—is now available. The designers even created a t-shirt for furry friends.

“From a creative standpoint, it is exciting to continue to explore new paths, to challenge each other and take another step into the future,” the Caten brothers told Interview. They also gestured toward further efforts in the name of sustainable design, a process they said “is consistently evolving” in the DSquared2 production chain. One can only hope this second installment of “ONE LIFE ONE PLANET,” which includes a Canadian Tuxedo (duh!) and a cute pair of white sneakers, inspires other brands to follow suit. After all, consumers shouldn’t have to choose between looking good and buying ethically.
