‘Bones & All’ actress Taylor Russell attended the 2022 Academy Museum Gala on Saturday (October 15) in Los Angeles, California.
There were mixed reactions to her Schiaparelli Haute Couture look last week, as some of you are not buying Taylor as a “fashion girl” but it hadn’t really occurred to me that that is what she was doing.
I think the fact that she is working with Ryan Hastings we are going to see a set aesthetic which is always going to be high fashion, and most likely black.
I’m still surprised that Ryan dressed her in the green Balenciaga Haute Couture look during Venice Film Festival.
Personally, I’m just happy she’s over the strapless dress phase, as I didn’t want another Renee Zellweger one-shoulder dress promo tour.
On this occasion she wore a look fresh off the Alexander McQueen Spring 2023 runway which once again fits the Ryan-Taylor aesthetic to a T.
Mostly because it’s black, but also because it has an edge imbued by the sliced halterneck top, which apparently doubles up as a hand muff.
I can’t say I love the hair, but the smooth leather and fluid silhouette sold this look to me.
