After the Toronto Film Festival, Mill Valley, London Film Festival and Madrid premieres, ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ finally had its premiere in Los Angeles on Monday (November 14), with Kate Hudson in attendance.
The actress has used this promo tour to give us a totally different side to her style wearing Saint Laurent and Halpern to a very mixed reaction from us all, plus a Carolina Herrera look in Toronto which I still believe is her best look on this promo tour.
On this occasion she wore an Elie Saab Fall 2022 Haute Couture high neckline crystal and pearlescent sequin gown featuring an open back, and tulle floor-length sleeves.
When I have to look at several pictures of a red carpet look, it’s usually an indication that I’m trying to convince myself to like/love a look, and that is definitely the case here.
Yes, the base tulle colour is a perfect match to her skin. Yes, as a lover of anything embellished I should be jumping for joy.
But on this occasion the embellishments – or at least the pattern in which they appear on the gown – are dulling my enthusiasm for this look.
I really tried to love this. I love the go big energy and idea of it of it all, but not the look itself for Kate.
I’m very keen to hear your thoughts on this one.
