Allison Janney heard we were doing sheer dresses on the red carpet this year and came for everybody’s throat in this see-through black gown at the premiere of The People We Hate at the Wedding—a film I will be cuing up immediately.
Her slinky, figure-hugging Naeem Khan dress is nearly covered in sequins, has a turtleneck collar, cutout sleeves, and fully visible boobs. Hell, yes. With one look, Janney has defeated both ageism in Hollywood and sexism everywhere.

This look obviously goes quite hard on the Vampira/Barbarella aesthetic, down to the smoky eye and bold lip. However, Janney pared it back just a tinge by keeping her hair in its usual chic bob. A classic Tyler Ellis clutch and heeled Stuart Weitzman sandals complete the ensemble. Perfection.
