Carrie Underwood attended the 2022 CMA Awards which was held at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (November 9) in Nashville, Tennessee.
Remember that brief second when we all thought Carrie Underwood’s style had turned corner after she wore an Iris Van Herpen Haute Couture gown to the 2021 Latin American Music Awards?
Let’s all take a moment and laugh about how incredibly naïve that notion was on our part.
The singer was very much back in her comfort-zone wearing this La Metamorphose Fall 2022 Couture mixed media gown which I thought was denim at first.
Clearly I still have PTSD from Katy Perry’s denim look at this event.
What can you say about this gown other than it’s very on brand for Carrie Underwood, well-styled with the matchy pumps and earrings and, for me at least, not as bad as the other looks from this event.
For Carrie, at this event, this is a win.
Carrie joined fellow country singers Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire on stage where they paid tribute to the late country singer-songwriter Loretta Lynn by performing her hits, ‘You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)’ and ‘Don’t Come Home a Drinkin.’
I love this Tony Ward Spring 2023 acid-green and pink gown on Carrie, not only for the colour way, but also because this bustier dress is a style she doesn’t usually gravitate to.
I wouldn’t mind a rerun of this dress on the red carpet.
